I get auditory hallucinations when I start falling asleep (no idea why, I just do). usually it’s mundane, or sometimes very annoying noises that wake me up, most common are mumbled conversation in a Café and the sounds of power tools on a construction site.
but just now instead, as I was trying to fall asleep, I heard a like… old man voice say “I am casting my most powerful Tuna Spells” and honestly my brain might be haunted by a wizard
take 2 of trying to fall asleep, same old man voice said: “I can form conjurations beyond your wildest imaginations” and then Party Rock Anthem started playing so loud I got jump scared
like, i’m pretty sure tiktok has existed for longer than vine did at this point but i’m yet to actually see an “iconic” tiktok. like people always caption like “this tiktok is ICONIC” but i’ve never seen one stay in the public consciousness for any longer than the 2 minutes it appears on my timeline. i never see people quote tiktoks or like, act them out with their friends or anything, not a single tiktok i’ve seen has had any actual staying power
meanwhile i can just say like “ROAD work ahead?” and i would bet a good chunk of you have just read that in the guy’s voice. i still see people tag things like “i wish i was jared, 19″. one night at the bar where i work we started an impromptu dance party purely by saying “hi, i’m renata bliss, and i’ll be your freestyle dance teacher”

But like vines were mostly original vids and for tiktoks you are following certain trends (specific sound effects, music) to kinda create the same memes over and over again. And then you do a different song, meme format but all the tiltokers are doing it. As for vines, you never knew what to expect because people just postes some random video. I mean there are some original tiktoks that have vine energy, but i think the way people use tiktok is just different in general. Also because there are so many “famous creators” out there I am sure tiltokers have to follow certain trends to stay relevant idk
